Revision Plus ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by the team at revisionplus.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using Revision Plus, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Information you provide directly:

• Full name and email address (during account registration)
• WhatsApp number and city (optional, for personalisation)
• Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing — we never see it in plain text)
• Referral codes you share or enter

Information collected automatically:

• Quiz results, scores, and performance history
• Practice session data (subjects attempted, questions answered)
• Device type and browser information
• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Session tokens for keeping you signed in

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google: your name, email, and profile picture from your Google account
• Payment confirmation details from Razorpay (we do not store card or UPI information)

We use your information exclusively to operate and improve Revision Plus:

• To create and manage your account
• To save and display your quiz results and progress
• To enforce daily question limits for free-plan users
• To activate and manage Premium subscriptions
• To process referral rewards between users
• To send important service updates (we do not send marketing spam)
• To detect and prevent fraudulent payment activity
• To improve our question bank and app performance

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database platform with infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and complies with industry security standards.

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we can never view your password
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
• Database access is restricted by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies so each user can only access their own data
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant gateway — your card or UPI details never pass through our servers

While we take every reasonable precaution, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials private.

Revision Plus uses browser local storage (not advertising cookies) to:

• Keep you signed in across page refreshes
• Remember your dark/light mode preference
• Store your selected examination type

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can clear local storage at any time via your browser settings, which will sign you out.

We rely on the following trusted third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — Authentication and database (supabase.com/privacy)
• Google OAuth — Optional sign-in method (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Razorpay — Payment processing (razorpay.com/privacy)

We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies if you use these integrations.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: View your profile information at any time from the Profile page
• Edit: Update your name, WhatsApp number, and city from the Profile page
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data using the "Delete My Account" option in the Profile → Danger Zone section
• Portability: Contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Withdraw consent: You can sign out and stop using the service at any time

Account deletion removes your profile, quiz history, subscription data, and referral records. This action is permanent and irreversible.

Revision Plus is intended for individuals who are at least 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a minor has registered without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Revision Plus after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
